Who is Detective Kevin Coffey?

Detective Kevin Coffey is the founder of Corporate Travel Safety, which specializes in traveler safety.  Kevin Coffey is an active, 20-year police veteran.  He is not retired, or a police officer from a small town unaccustomed  travel specific crimes.  He is currently employed with one of the nation's largest police departments, and holds the rank of Detective Sergeant. He is involved with handling and investigating crimes on a daily basis.  In 1991 he founded the Airport Crimes Investigations Detail. He has been personally responsible for investigating thousands of crimes committed against travelers at Los Angeles International Airport, along with travel crimes occurring at hotels, and car rental agencies.

His expertise has allowed him to identify the most common methods and locations used by professional criminals who target travelers.  In his off-duty hours, Kevin began sharing his knowledge at national sales meetings for some of the top Fortune 500 companies. Subsequently, Kevin formed "Corporate Travel Safety" which specializes in travel-safety training and awareness seminars.

He has personally trained over 10,000 travelers for some of the world’s largest companies such as American Express, Hewlett Packard, Motorola, Rockwell, Mattel, Arco, Texaco, and Xerox. See our client list!

Our Experience, Do Your Homework

We challenge you to compare our qualifications to others claiming to be "Travel Security Experts."  Have they worked investigating crimes committed against travelers as their primary career? Is their experience specifically in the travel safety arena, or have they been in completely different careers and have just become an "expert" ?  Do they have experience in interviewing thousands of travel crime victims along with the criminal suspects who committed those crimes?  You do the homework on finding an expert to work for your organization.

Travel Safe Training Materials

We have researched this subject and learned that many employees while having been provided written material on travel safety by their company, rarely took the time to read it. After speaking to thousands of travelers, travel agencies, corporate travel and tour managers, it is clear that most travelers prefer listening to an audiotape while driving to work or the airport.  Corporate Travel Safety produces the most authoritative audiotape program in the industry that specifically address travel safety issues. The tape is sold in a standard generic version, or is usually customized with corporate logos, messages, and audio tracks from your company’s executives. Contact our office for more information.
