This zipper security strap includes an etched serial number which identifies your strap, thus deterring thieves from replacing the strap with an identical one. Note:  The Secure Tag Zipper Security Strap does not come with a lock. This strap can be used with any small lock that will fit through the holes in luggage zippers.  If this strap is used to secure luggage checked with the airlines, you can only use a TSA approved luggage lock.  If you use any other type of lock, TSA personnel will cut it off.  A selection of TSA locks that can be used on this strap can be found on our website here

Step 1

With the aluminum plate facing you with the serial number, wrap Secure TagTM Luggage Lock Security Strap around the luggage handle that is closest to the zipper sliders.

Step 2

With the aluminum plate end,  guide the strap through the top opening of the buckle. The buckle has two openings, the top end is attached to the strap.

Step 3

Now guide the aluminum plate end through the bottom half opening of the buckle. 

Step 4

Continue pulling the aluminum plate end until it is tighten completely.  Do not over tighten as it may cause damage to your luggage.

Step 5

You must have luggage lock/pad lock to successfully complete the installation. When traveling in the USA please use TSA approved locks.  Note: A luggage lock is NOT included with this strap.  You need to purchase your own TSA lock, which can also be purchased from this site.

Step 6

Insert one end of the lock through Secure Tag using the nearest hole to the zipper slider. Then continue to pass the lock through both zipper pulls.  Do not over tighten as it may cause damage to your luggage.

Step 7

Step 8

Once completed the Secure Tag Luggage Lock Security Strap secures the zipper sliders and luggage lock to a narrow range of motion.

Please note it is recommended that you record the serial number as it identifies your security strap.  The s erial has been stamped into the aluminum plate to deter thieves from replacing the strap with an identical one.
