In order to afford maximum security, the Autosafe S-5 Satellite is designed to be secured to a fixed item within your vehicle. While here are many available places, the top three recommended are:

In the trunk
A typical installation would be under the seat to the metal frame which is bolted to the vehicles floor. By doing so, allows Autosafe’s S-5 steel 31 inch long security cable to be looped around the seat’s steel frame mechanism, then fed back into car safe and locked.
Other suitable vehicle secure points include; ISO baby seat fixing points and body frame points which are often located in the trunk or rear of vehicles.

How the Autosafe Portable Safe Works
First, no tools or drilling is required to mount the safe. Locate the most appropriate secure point close to the area you wish to secure the Autosafe S-5, such as under your car seat, or in the trunk. Loop the cable around the chosen fixed point and feed the security cable back to the Autosafe S-5, and then into the cable lock.
Once the cable is installed the Autosafe S-5 Satellite is now ready to use. To ensure the Autosafe is secure, you must lock the unit by closing the lid and removing the key, the key can only be removed when the lid is locked. All valuables within the satellite are now secure.
