My husband loves it when the sunshine comes through the windows in the morning, but I can’t sleep if the room isn’t as dark as a cave. This has caused problems, but not now that I have the Sweet Dreams Contoured Sleep Mask. The earplugs aren’t anything special, but the mask is the best. It’s comfortable, it keeps out the light, and it doesn’t fall off while I’m sleeping or get tangled in my hair. I thought the Velcro closure would be an issue, but even that has not caused me any problems. Rating: 5 / 5

“This mask does a great job for the price. It’s comfy–it connects behind the head with a soft Velcro strap. The convex shape means that it doesn’t press against your eyes when they’re closed. It does a pretty good job of blocking out light, letting only a little in around the bridge of the nose, but you can’t tell with your eyes closed. Folds up nicely into the neat carrying case.”

 As someone who has spent the past 15 years sleeping with an eye mask I can say wholeheartedly that I have tried more than my fair share. And there is almost always something wrong with them. They’re either way too big, too small, too tight or not comfortable enough. But the Dream Essentials eye mask is the exceptional exception to the rule. With its comfortable soft velvety interior (and exterior), generous oversized design and comfortable Velcro adjustable handles it is truly the perfect eye mask. It’s also washing machine/dryer safe (just put it on a very delicate setting).

I don’t know how I slept without this before because this really makes going to sleep, staying asleep and seeing nothing but a hill of jumping sheep a zephyr. This even comes with a lovely silky and smooth carrying bag (I keep mine in it all the time so it stays free of dust and lint) and a set of earplugs (OK these are lousy, but for this price do you really care?). This comes in 2 fashionable colors.  Dream Essentials really thought of everything and really went out of their way to please even their pickiest customers (myself included).

Rating 5 stars.  This is my favorite sleep mask. I also own another (see my other reviews). The other mask may block a tiny bit more light near the nose, but this one can be lowered to do nearly as well and it is so lightweight that my face doesn’t notice it as much. There is coolness to its thinner fabric which I prefer and hence I use it occasionally now at home since I’ve returned from my big trip to Europe.

The cost is not excessive, it blocks light well (I suppose you’d have to adjust it against a slit of light near the lower end if you wore it in broad daylight) and the comfort is high. Personally, I don’t wear a mask in broad daylight. Ha! We do have an annoying streetlight outside our window, though, and on warm nights with the room-darkening shades up a bit for fresh air, this mask performs well.
