GearGuard Lens Lock is Easy and Quick to Use
The GearGuard Lens Lock is quick and simple to use. Simply put the locking lens cap on your camera lens, rotate the outer knob so that the lock loops over lap, and the locking lens cap is secured. Once the Lens Lock is attached to the camera’s rear optic, the irremovable device renders the lens useless to thieves. When twisted into place, the Lens Lock releases “teeth” that anchor the security cap to the bayonet on the lens mount for a flawless fit.
To secure the camera lens from theft, run the optional anti-theft cable and lock through it (not included, but sold separately) to provide the additional peace of mind when your gear might be out of view, or possibly stolen while you’re distracted during a photo shoot.
The GearGuard Lens Lock also allows for several lenses to be secured together in a daisy chain setting – as well as allowing the lens to be secured to a sturdy object to deter theft.
GearGuard Locking Lens Caps are constructed of an industrial strength impervious plastic compound which provides a solid anchoring point for a security cable and lock.
Pair the locking lens with the optional GearGuard Security Cable and lock. The cable is coated for protection of equipment and the lock is a combo lock, no lost keys.

Where to Use GearGuard Lens Locks
Photographers will find plenty of their own situations where this level of peace-of-mind is hugely important. However, in the majority of situations photographers deploy the lens lock to secure unused lenses whenever they are left in an unattended camera bag, vehicle, hotel room, office, or other location where “opportunistic” theft is a concern.

To complete the GearGuard camera security system, the GearGuard Lens Lock is designed to be paired with the optional GearGuard Security Cable and Combination Lock. When used together, camera lenses can be attached to a secure anchor point for safe storage – as well as allowing for the attachment to other gear inside a camera bag.
The GearGuard Security Cable features a 36 inch long steel-braided cable which is designed to fit thru the security port of both the GearGuard Camera Lens Lock and Camera Body lock. The security cable is extremely flexible, but cannot be cut with simple hand tools.
The security cable is entirely coated in rubber to prevent scratches on your expensive equipment. The camera security cable also includes a three dial combination security lock – so you don’t have the hassle of the loss or finding the locks keys at the end of your shoot.
When the Lens Lock and Security Cable are used together, the GearGuard devices provide a sturdy and portable security solution for less than $100, enabling photographers to focus on the tasks at hand rather than concern themselves with the security of their gear.
