How the laptop security lock port works
Built into 99% of the laptops, tablet PCs, netbooks, LCD projectors, as well as most modern LCD monitors is a steel bracket which has the Kensington lock security slot. The steel bracket is consealed by the outer plastic case of the laptop. Once the laptop lock is enguaged into the slot, the steel "T-Bar" rotates into the steel locking slot to secure the laptop.
