More Information on the DaySafe 100 backpack
Locking main compartment
Inside the PacSafe DaySafe 100 is a compartment lined with steel mesh. It cinches closed and locks with padlock. Once this is done, the contents within the bag are secured and cannot be removed. Photo shows the top of the bag cinched closed.
Locks to a stationary item
The steel flexi-cable cinches the bag closed and when pulled out, can be looped around a stationary object and then locked back onto the pack to keep it from being taken by a thief.
Additionally, one of the shoulder straps has a quick release security clip allowing you to secure the DaySafe 100 security backpack to a chair or other item when you have to briefly set it down.
Removable Exomesh Insert - Secures Laptops, Cameras or other valuables
Inside the Daysafe 100 is a removable safe, which is the main security feature of the bag. The safe can be used inside or outside the DaySafe. The top of the removable Exomesh insert contains the security locking system. Also, inside this insert is a pocket large enough to hold a 15 inch laptop or files.
The DaySafe 100 insert will hold items up to 17 inches tall, 12 to 13 inches wide (when flexed), by 10 inches deep. For comparison sake, our office uses it to secure a HP notebook with outside dimensions of 13 inches long, 11 inches wide, and is 16.6 inches diagonally.
Daysafe 100 Organization Compartment
Located on the outside - of the Daysafe 100 is a zippered organizational compartment which allows you quick access to frequent access items such as maps, guidebooks, and other items. A key clip is sewn inside this compartment so you can quickly find your keys.
Additionally, the DaySafe 100 has tamperproof zippers. An external security catch secures the zipper from being opened by pickpockets.
Organizational Features of the Daysafe 100
Strap pocket built into one of the comfortable adjustable shoulder straps. For a cell phone, keys, or change.
Front zippered organizer pocket keeps track of your smaller essentials such as sunglasses and more.
Front mesh pocket is large enough to stash a jacket.
Side mesh pockets are ideal for water bottles.
Includes a sleeve for a laptop or for documents and files.
Looks and wears like a standard daypack
The DaySafe looks like a standard quality daypack. It is designed to be slung over one shoulder or both. Additionally, the pack can be carried by the vulcanized rubber handle at the top of the bag. The photos to the right show the adjustable, padded shoulder straps and top carry handle. Three expanded ergonomic air-mesh back pads - Provide better wearing comfort and support at main pressure points!
The Pac-Safe DaySafe has no hip belt and is not made for serious hiking or mountain biking. It is designed for normal everyday usage while at school, at work, while biking, or at the beach.
Adjustable Shoulder and Sternum Straps
The comfortable shoulder straps are padded and are woven into an over-the-shoulder harness. The pack also includes a sternum strap which keeps the pack snug to your body. All of the pack straps are adjustable.
Additionally, one of the shoulder straps has a quick release security clip allowing you to secure the DaySafe to a chair or other item if you need to briefly set it down. Each shoulder strap has the patented "slashproof" security cable woven into the full length of each strap.
Security Steel Cable
Slice-proof steel cable-The retractable cable snakes inside the nylon case and out of the way. Outside of being used for travel, many college students use this bag in campus and apartment settings where locking up a laptop computer is necessary. It's done by securing the laptop in locking compartment of the bag, and then locking the bag to a stationary device.
Slice Proof Interlocking Exomesh Wire Mesh Construction
This DaySafe 100 (and the larger DaySafe 200) are two of the most secure packs on the market and the only ones that feature the exclusive PacSafe EXomesh interlocking security system.
The EXomesh security system is a new revolution in bag security. EXomesh technology uses a combination of lightweight, flexible, high tensile 1.5 mm stainless steel cable and crimps to create a slash-proof core protective cell with a mean cable strength of approximately 198kg.
The core protective stainless steel system is fused with a rugged
yet lightweight weather-proof next generation nylon laminate to
provide added protection against the elements and keep personal items and valuables safe, secure and discretely out of sight.
PacSafe Daysafe100 has a Strong Locking System
The locking system of the PacSafe DaySafe 100 features a metal reinforced, high tensile stainless steel draw-wire, reinforced with a high-impact resistant polycarbonate material - the same laminate used in bulletproof glass.
This locking system makes entry to the top of the bag virtually impossible, while allowing the bag to be also secured to immovable objects. Each PacSafe DaySafe includes a hardened shackle brass padlock with three keys.

InnerSafe Included with DaySafe 100!
The DaySafe 100 includes a removable InnerSafe eXomesh security vault. This is the heart of the DaySafe 100 and was designed to be removable for flexibility.
You can use the InnerSafe while inside the DaySafe, or you can remove it as shown here, so you can lock it in your hotel room, car, or office, thereby allowing you to use the daypack which you are out for the day.
The InnerSafe contains the stainless steel mesh core which prevents someone from cutting the bag open.
Additionally, the InnerSafe incorporates the steel cable so the bag can be "locked down" to prevent its theft.
Pack Straps
Each PacSafe Daysafe 100 has two adjustable pack straps on
the back bottom.
These straps are great for holding a jacket or sweater that you don't want to wear for the rest of the day.
