Locking main compartment  Inside the PacSafe DaySafe 200 is a compartment called the innersafe. The innersafe has soft protective walls infused with steel mesh. It cinches closed with a steel cable and locks tight with a padlock.  Once secured the contents within the bag are safe and cannot be removed.  The photo to the right depicts the inside top of the bag cinched closed.
Locks to a stationary item The steel flexi-cable which cinches the bag closed is long, and when pulled out, loops around a stationary object and then locks back onto the pack, to keep it from being taken by a thief.  Additionally, one of the shoulder straps has a quick release security clip allowing you to secure the DaySafe 200 to a chair or other item when you have to briefly set it down, so none can just pick it up and walk off.
Removable Exomesh insert or innerSafe - Great for securing a laptop, camera and/or lens, or other valuables Inside the DaySafe 200 is the removable Innersafe. Removed, the innersafe can be used just as easily as when it is in the pack as a portable safe.  The top of the removable Exomesh insert contains the security locking system shown above.  Additionally, inside the Innersafe is a padded laptop sleeve. Holds 15 inch laptops and some 17 inch!

Pacsafe Daysafe 200  Additional Features Organization Compartment Located on the outside of the Daysafe 200 is a zippered organizational compartment which allows you quick access to frequently needed items such as maps, guidebooks, and other items.  The organizational features are mounted on a removable fabric plate so you remove the entire compartment if needed. A key clip is sewn inside this compartment so you can quickly find your keys.   An external security catch which secures this outside compartment  is mounted on the outside of the DaySafe 200.  Once the catch is deployed, it can't be opened from behind without your knowledge.

 

Looks and wears like a standard day pack The DaySafe can be worn  slung over one shoulder or both.  Additionally, the pack can be carried by the vulcanized rubber handle at the top of the bag.  The photos to the right show the adjustable, padded shoulder straps and top carry handle. Adjustable Shoulder and Sternum Straps The comfortable shoulder straps are padded and are woven into an over-the-shoulder harness. Additionally, the pack includes a sternum strap which keeps the pack snug to your body. All of the pack straps are adjustable. Quick Release Strap One of the shoulder straps has a quick release security clip allowing you to secure the DaySafe 200 to a chair or other item when you have to briefly set it down.  Each shoulder strap has the patented "slashproof" security cable woven into the full length of each strap.

Comfort Design The back of the Pacsafe DaySafe 200 was built for comfort when worn as a backpack or simply slung over one shoulder.  The DaySafe has three two inch thick foam pads which rest on the back's main pressure points.  The pads are covered in a breathable cotton/nylon material with "airwicks" which help disperse moisture.

The retractable cable snakes inside the nylon case and out of the way. Outside of being used for travel, many college students use this bag in campus and apartment settings where locking up a laptop computer is necessary. It's done by securing the laptop in locking compartment of the bag, and then locking the bag to a stationary device.

Slice Proof Interlocking Exomesh Wire Mesh Construction

This Pacsafe  DaySafe 200 is one of the most secure  backpacks on the market and is the only one that features the exclusive Pacsafe EXomesh interlocking security system. The EXomesh security system is a new revolution in bag security. EXomesh technology uses a combination of lightweight, flexible, high tensile 1.5 mm stainless steel cable and crimps to create a slash-proof core protective cell with a mean cable strength of approximately 198kg.

The core protective stainless steel system is fused with a rugged yet lightweight weather-proof next generation nylon laminate to provide added protection against the elements and keep personal items and valuables safe, secure and discretely out of sight.

PacSafe Daysafe 200 Strong Locking System

The locking system of the PacSafe DaySafe 200 features a metal reinforced, high tensile stainless steel draw-wire, reinforced with a high-impact resistant polycarbonate material - the same laminate used in bulletproof glass.
This locking system makes entry to the top of the bag virtually impossible, while  allowing the bag to be secured to immovable objects. Each PacSafe DaySafe 200 includes a hardened shackle brass padlock with three keys.
