Laptop / iPad / Tablet / Hydration Pak Storage Information
The VentureSafe 32L main security compartment has a section designed to accommodate and secure mobile devices such as laptops, iPads, tablets, and other larger sized items.
Alternatively, some travelers use the laptop compartment as a storage area for a hydration pack, as the fluid tube can be run thru the headphone port which is located at the top of the pocket, inside the bag.
Built-into the internal security zippered pocket is a laptop/tablet storage compartment. The compartment is expandable, fully padded, features an elastic top band, and will accommodate 17 inch laptops. The laptop/hydration compartment's of the portion that is protected by a padded section of the compartment are: 14" wide, by 13" deep, however, the compartment can hold a item that is 19 inches tall, with 4" inches not having the padded protection.

Quick Release Strap Locks Your Bag Down to Prevent Quick Snatch & Grab Thefts
One of the shoulder straps features a quick release security clip. This clip allows the shoulder strap to be disconnected, so it can be secured to a chair or other fixed item, and then reconnected back to the bag. This clever feature "attaches" your bag to an item and stops the “opportunistic” thief from picking it up and running away with it.
Slashproof CarrySafe Anti-Slash Straps
Woven and embedded into the full length of each of the bag’s shoulder straps is the patented PacSafe "slashproof" CarrySafe cable system. These aanti-slash straps are reinforced with a lightweight, flexible, high-tensile stainless steel wire. The steel cables are just the right thickness where they dont impact the straps adjustability and you can't even tell they are woven into the straps. This feature is designed to prevent opportunistic bag slashers from slicing through your bag strap and running off with your gear.
Smart ‘Turn & Lock’ Hooks
These small smart devices pack a whole lot of intelligence. The Turn & Lock Anti-snatching hook allows you to secure one of the bag's shoulder straps to a secure fixture, be it the leg of a table or around a palm at a beach. What’s more, the smart hook has a special turning mechanism which actually locks the hook in to place making it harder for a bag snatcher to make an easy getaway.
Smart Zipper Security™
This bag includes concealed zipper clips that secure both of the bag's main and front organizational compartments. These zipper clips make it difficult for crafty, opportunistic pickpockets to unzip either of the bag's zippers and and steal your valuables when you are not paying attention. With the zippers hidden from view, thieves won’t know where to begin or how to get in. The security zippers also attach to clips so if they are pulled, they won’t just slide open.
Organizational Features
Front Organizer Pocket
Located on the outside of the VentureSafe 32L is a zippered organizational compartment which allows you quick access to frequently needed items such as maps, guidebooks, keys, and other items.
An external zipper security lock is mounted on a hidden tension strap which secures the zipper. This zipper security feature prevents thieves from unzipping this compartment from behind without your knowledge. The front organizer pocket is 16 inches deep and 11 inches wide.
Inside the front organizer pocket, the following additional storage compartments are found:
- (2) Large size slide in pockets: 7 1/2" deep by 5" wide.
- (2) Medium size padded, slide in electronic storage pockets: 6 inches deep by 4.5 inches wide.
- (1) Spring retention key ring hook.
- (1) "O" Ring - 1 inch wide - for securing a key or snap/clip on object.
- (2) Pen Slots - 5 inches long.
 Front Zippered Compartment Mounted into the Front Compartment
Mounted into the front of the bag, is a vertical zippered security compartment. This pocket is very spacious and will hold a variety of items they you may need quick access to. Due to the 9 inch long zippered opening, larger items such as guide book, maps, or even a emergency poncho will fit inside this pocket. This compartment has internal dimensions of 14 inches tall, by 10 inches wide.
Like the bag's other zippered compartments, this one is also secured by the PacSafe Smart Zipper Security System. When the zipper is closed, the zipper pull is locked down and concealed under a hidden flap to prevent access from pickpockets who target travelers rear pockets of backpacks.
External Organizational Features:
Water Bottle - Umbrella Pockets
Located on the outside of backpack, are (2) external side elasticized pockets for holding water bottles or small umbrellas.
MP3 / Cell phone / Headphone / Hydration Port
Located at the top of bag, on the back side, worn next to the body, is the bag's electronic headphone / hydration port. This port provides direct access into the bag's laptop compartment, so you can securely house your iPhone, iPod, or MP3 player or hydration pack.
Fleece Lined Sunglasses Pocket
Located at the top of the bag is a zippered compartment designed to hold eye or sun glasses. The compartment features a concealed zipper, preventing pickpocket entry. The zippered opening is 5 inches wide, however the pocket itself is 6 inches deep by 7 inches wide, and features a full bahlin lining.
Adjustable Shoulder and Sternum Straps
The bag's comfortable shoulder straps are padded and are woven into an over-the-shoulder harness. Additionally, this security daypack includes a sternum strap which keeps the pack snug to your body. All of the pack straps are adjustable. The shoulder straps feature a 1/2 thick foam padding, with an ergonomically rounded soft touch edge.
The security backpack also features a built-in, fully adjustable, front lumbar waist band, which features a compression belt buckle. The waist band is fully adjustable for waist sizes 28 inches to a full 49 inches. The waistband does not have to be used, and tucks neatly into the back sleeve sewn into the back bottom of the pack.
To aid in the comfort of the bag when worn around the waist, on each side of the waist band are individual 7 inch long by 4 inch tall, padded comfort waist pads. These pads are designed so that the weight of back pack is equally distributed across your waist, eliminating uncomfortable waist band web belt "dig" common on less expensive backpacks.
Comfort Design and Materials
The back of the VentureSafe 32L (side which rests against your back) was built for comfort when worn as a backpack or simply slung over one shoulder. On the back of the backpack (side worn against the body) features two (2) ergonomically comfort foam cells which are designed to rest on your main pressure points of your back. The padded air mesh back support, waist belt, sternum strap and padded shoulder straps, make this backpack exceptionally comfortable to wear even it's fully loaded and heavy.
These "comfort cells" are covered in a breathable cotton/nylon material which are embedded with with "air wicking" material which help disperse moisture (sweat) when the backpack is worn for long periods or time, or in hot and humid areas.
