The Strapsafe is the only security luggage strap that features the patented “Baggage Constrictor TM” technology, the StrapSaf e 100 cannot be loosened once locked, unlike other luggage straps.
Here’s how the StrapSafe TSA Luggage Strap Search Alert Notification System Works
Luggage cases checked at an airport are sent through an electronic screening machine. If a TSA agent determines the case needs to be hand searched, the StrapSafe, TSA Certified Luggage Strap lock will be opened by the agent.
When the TSA secured access device is used to open the lock, the lock's security window (upper right hand corner of the lock) changes color from green to red.
TSA agents or airline employees cannot reset the SearchAlert entry window on the Strapsafe TSA Luggage Strap - only the owner with the combination can.
When you arrive at your destination and retrieve your luggage, all you have to do is look at the StrapSafe 100 SearchAlert security window. If it is still green, no one has entered your bag.
However, it is red, it lets you know someone - usually a TSA agent - hand searched your luggage. If so, the TSA agent should have left a TSA notification of baggage inspection. If the SearchAlert case lock security shows red, and no official notification if baggage inspection is found, you should take the case to the airline's luggage claim office to determine if anything is missing, or if anything has been added to the case. No other TSA lock does this! For more information on operation of this feature, click here.
TSA Accepted, Only you and the TSA can open this luggage lock.
