Problem
Many of you have heard of incidents where street thieves locate a victim with a camera bag or fancy purse strung over the shoulder.  Knowing that most camera and purse straps are secured with only a few strands of string, the young, agile street thieves simply run up from behind you and grab or cut  the purse/camcorder bag, which causes the flimsy strap to quickly brake, allowing the thief to make a quick get-a-way.

The Security Strap can provide a valuable alternative to help you keep street thieves from getting their hands on your belongings!   Here is what makes this item so unique:

Braided Stainless Steel Cables  

Each Security Strap contains a pair of braided, 1/16 inch stainless-steel reinforced cables, which make the Security Strap slice resistant from even the most determined street thief.  The following are photographs of the two cables sewn into each strap.

These photos are represent the steel cables as they are woven into the strap material.  The second photo is a sample product designed in clear plastic so you can see how the straps are contained within the strap. 

Special Adaptors

Each Security Strap includes two special adaptors that allow the Security Strap™ to attach to any item that has small loops (Cameras, camcorders, and binoculars).  The special adaptors are located on each end of the strap.

The first adaptor is a 3/4 inch metal, chrome plated, continuous loop, "O" ring.  This adaptor allows the strap to be secured to a device which has any type of spring clip which would allow you to insert in the "O" ring adaptor.   Attached to the "O" ring is an adjustable adapter that allows you to secure your device to the security strap.  This adaptor is approximately 1/2 inch in width and 4 inches in length.  It is adjustable and includes a tension device to keep the adaptor secure to the secured object (click on photo for enlarged view).   The item is designed to fit many different electronic items.  It will fit many, if not all camcorders (digital, 8mm, hi8, and VCR), most 35mm cameras, MP3 players, binoculars, and other items which features a loop for a external strap.  The following photos were taken showing the lanyard device which comes on many items, along with the adaptors installed.
          

The second special adaptor is a permanently heavy duty metal swivel clips which resemble an oval carabineer.  This adaptor is the opposite of the one previously listed.  It is designed for a bag which has a permanently affixed loop or hook which cannot be opened.  This adaptor's ergonomic design means lightning-fast clipability.  You simply push the top half of the carabineer gate around the strap on your bag making a secure connection.  This adaptor also features a 360 degree swivel, allowing your bag and strap to move with your body movements.  

Special Security Sleeves

To increase security further, the end of each strap has a 5 inch long microfiber sleeve which slides over the adaptors.  This sleeve keeps the adaptors out of view and touch of the prying fingers of a more determined thief.   These special sleeves are moveable or removable if needed.

Slip-Resistant Shoulder Pads
To make each strap comfortable, a very relaxing slip-resistant shoulder pad is  sewn onto the middle portion of each strap thus making it comfortable.  The pad is adjustable and can be worn in any position around the strap.

Material 

Black Microfiber.  This is a super-fine, high density, soft material that is often compared with a "soft satin" feeling.  The material used is microfiber is even finer than luxury natural fibers, such as silk.
