It sounds sounds a 120 decibel alarm for five seconds when pressure is applied from a sliding door or window panel sliding over onto it when being opened. If pressure continues, the alarm sounds for up to one hour, then shuts itself off. When pressure is released, the alarm resets itself to sound if more force is applied. Smaller and lighter the than the door swege,
it measures: 31/4 L x 21/4W x 13/4H, 21/2oz. Comes with a battery installed.
How it works
1. Decide whether you want the window to remain closed or to be allowed to open for ventilation only. Select placement location accordingly. To allow for ventilation choose a spot only a few inches back.

2. Peel off the paper off the bottom, to expose adhesive strip.
3. Place on stationary panel of window or sliding door with the tapered end of the wedge facing the moving panel.
This item is best suited for windows or sliding doors you wish to keep closed or only open a small amount for ventilation. Not recommended for windows which you frequently change the amount they are open, as the swege will constantly have to be repositioned weakening the adhesive contact. |
