Did you know that most credit cards, driver's licenses, transit cards, government identification cards, school, hospital, and company identification cards, all passports and passport cards have a Radio-Frequency-Identification chip embedded inside them? These chips carry your personal information.
Thieves can easily purchase RFID scanners online or build their own to steal your information right through your regular purse or wallet up to 10 feet away from you! They just need to walk past you with a handheld scanner to capture your personal information. RFID blocking technology has been tested and approved by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. They help protect you from identity theft by preventing communication with an RFID reader while the card is in its RFID Blocking Sleeve.

RFID chips embedded in passports and passport cards allow authorities, government employee and vendors (like airlines) to scan your passport quickly during boarding and passport stations – some of which can scan your information from a distance to make border crossing a little faster.
That's the good news about RFID, however, if you do not protect your credit cards, identification cards, or passports your information can be stolen with the same technology.

Electronic Pickpocket Protection FAQ
What card types will the sleeves shield, and what card types will the product not shield?
The patented RFID Blocking Credit Card and Passport Sleeves are designed to shield all contactless credit cards, passports, drivers licenses, ISO 14443A/B and EPC Gen1/Gen2 contactless smart cards; any contactless card that operates at 13.56 Mhz and above.
